Hi, I’m Elizabeth

Your kind but honest therapist.

If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I believe you shouldn't have to choose between honoring where you come from and becoming who you're meant to be.

As an Armenian-American, I grew up surrounded by big families, loud conversations, backyard barbecues, and people from every culture and religion gathered around the same table. Looking back, I realized that although our traditions, languages, and foods were different, we all wanted the same things—to love and be loved, to feel respected, to make our families proud, and to build meaningful lives.

That understanding has shaped both who I am and the therapist I've become.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with people from many different walks of life. I've provided therapy to individuals seeking asylum after fleeing war and persecution, offered free mental health services in underserved communities, and worked in substance use treatment helping people rebuild their lives and find recovery. Across every setting, one thing became clear: our stories may look different, but our deepest struggles are often remarkably similar. We all want to feel safe, understood, connected, and free to live a life that feels like our own.

I'm especially passionate about working with first- and second-generation adults, multicultural individuals, and anyone who has ever felt caught between the expectations they were raised with and the life they're trying to create. Maybe you've always been the responsible one. Maybe you're the peacemaker, the caretaker, or the one everyone relies on. Maybe you've spent so much energy making sure everyone else is okay that you've forgotten to ask yourself what you need.

That's where therapy comes in.

My style is warm, collaborative, and down to earth. I'll meet you with compassion, curiosity, and genuine respect, but I'll also be honest with you. I don't believe therapy should feel like you're trying to decode vague advice or clinical jargon. I'll ask thoughtful questions, challenge the patterns that are keeping you stuck, and help you make sense of why those patterns developed in the first place. We'll celebrate your strengths, make space for the hard things, and work toward meaningful change together.

My work is grounded in EMDR, somatic therapy, and evidence-based approaches, but more than anything, it's grounded in the relationship we build. I believe healing happens when you feel safe enough to tell the truth about your life, understood without having to explain every part of your culture, and supported as you create a future that reflects both your roots and your own values.

You don't have to have it all figured out before you come to therapy. You just have to be willing to start.

I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
